Join us at The Pipe Factory for Sail Britain’s residency showcase! Rising Tides brings together works from artists who participated in the 2023 residency programme in the Scottish Islands. Spanning disciplines from painting and sculpture to film and poetry, the exhibition showcases the diversity of work and ideas surrounding our relationship to the ocean in the time of the Anthropocene, and the natural landscapes we encounter, as well as wider thinking about society, ecology, climate and activism.
Sail Britain was born as an arts project, and the unique residency programme has pioneered sailing as creative exploration since 2015, underpinned by an ethos of critical sustainability and ocean optimism.
